Education
Extending a small hand in visualizing the road to a brighter tomorrow
India has a population of 1 billion out of which nearly 35 million children do not attend school. There is also a high disparity when it comes to a girl child’s education level. Only 50% of the children population in India gets an education and a huge number of works as child labor.
While the children of today are the future of tomorrow, these statistics do not support it. “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world,” said Malala Yousafzai who fought for girl education.
Education is the key to development, growth, and success. It is education which combats poverty and promotes gender equality. It contributes to the reduction of child marriages, violence and promotes better health and healthy and quality life.
Education being so relevant in human life why is it still not accessible to all those deserving children. Of course, poverty is the major factor which restricts a child from going to school and supports the family in earning their livelihood. Poverty and education are so negatively co-related that one cannot exist without the other.
Lack of Government schools, shortage of teachers and books, shrinkage in the funds allotted for primary education, poor school building conditions and old and unrelated syllabus could be contributed to this biggest failure.
It’s time that we do something about. Take a little more accountability and take charge. If we don’t, then nobody will.
NELE TRUST’s education programs provide opportunities to these neglected brilliant children to gain knowledge and create a bright future in this competitive world.

Livelihood
Learning a Livelihood!
There is a high variance in the population growth rate and employment opportunity in India. This variance plus the lack of skills in the youth coming from the backward and neglected areas make it tougher for them to find the right opportunity. With the population census speeding up further, there is an urgent need to provide skill development training to the ones coming from the rural areas neglected urban areas which had received little or no education.
Skill Development – A Must.
Skill Development is crucial in fighting the battle against poverty and inequality. With a good education, it is equally important to equip the youth with all the skills they may need to achieve their full productive potential and get quality jobs.
While literacy is the primary need, further training on numeracy, interpersonal skills, technical knowledge would be a great contribution. Lack of these skills only pushes the individuals to get in too low salary jobs or no jobs. It also helps the industries to find the skilled workforce they are looking for to enhance their growth. Hence, Skills Development Training is a win-win objective.

The Market Skills Training (MST)
MST extends a comprehensive training program which is in line with the demands of the employer. Spread over a few months, the training includes foundational, workforce readiness skills with industry-specific skills, ranging from retail, basic IT, healthcare to hospitality. Once the course is completed the qualified candidates are placed into entry-level jobs.
MST scans the market on the labor needs and skills required with the help of the employers. An extensive training curriculum is drawn that provides specific training to the candidates. In addition to private employers such as Reliance and ICICI Bank, MST will be aligned with the framework of the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC).
We all deserve an equal chance to learn and leverage our full potential. It would be pitiful if we do not take a step forward and give a helping hand to strengthen our youth and build a brighter tomorrow.
